You can also use a dialog to insert any supported character. The dialog lists all supported characters and the character combinations you use to compose them - once you know the character combination you need for any particular character you don't need to use the dialog. The characters are categorised in the dialog for easier reference.
To open the dialog choose Compose Character... on the Insert menu (Insert > Compose Character...).
You can assign the macro to Alt+Shift+Z using a button on the dialog, or you can manually assign it to whatever key combo you choose via Tools > Customise... > Keyboard.
HOW TO USE
After installing the extension you'll need to close OpenOffice then re-open it to see the new Compose Characters... menu item on the Insert menu.

]]>Hi all!
In my work I often use OOo for publishing booklets,
small magazines and so on. And in order to give
the text nice look I alwayse needed to use fontspacing
and linespacing. And you know, you have to open the
appropriate dialog, make changes and then close it
to see the result. It takes much time.
This small macro does the same job (even better,
for fontspacing it uses not only the decimal values,
but also half of decimal), and you see your changes
immediately.
It opens a small window where you can choose your
fontspacing and linespacing values. Not all range of values
you can use. I put there only those, which have the sence
for desktop publishing, that changed text was not much
different from usual text. So it works in fontspacing from
-0.35pt to 0.35pt, and in linespacing from 80% to 120%.
Unfortunately, I don't know yet how to make it working in frames.

Questions #1 #2 #3 are worth 15%.
Question #4 is worth 55%.
As each letter grade is entered, the spreadsheet translates / converts them into decimal grades.
For the ranges, see, for instance, cell C3 in Sheet 'Section1'.
The decimal grades are then averaged and translated into letter grades.
For assignments:
Each Assignment is translated into a decimal grade, but it is not used.
For attendance:
According to how much a student missed classes, a letter grade is entered.

Document formatted depending on OOo's GUI language used: paper format "Letter" (if English is detected), otherwise German A4 format is used. ToC, page headers and footers presentation according to language.
]]>Extension of the macro "AutoText” in library "Gimmicks”, delivered with OOo since version 1.1.x, which lists AutoText name and AutoText shortcut to a writer document.
This one extends the table created with the unformatted text of the AutoText entry itself.
Provides a dialoge to choose quantity of output:
Dialogue texts and output formatting in English or German, depending on actual OOo's GUI language:
Page layout Letter Landscape (if English) or A4 Querformat (if German detected).
There is also a command that makes a complete list with all the words from the document listed alphabetically (no dubleants).
Linguist uses the GUI locale setting to decide which dictionary to use for spellchecking.
From several reasons I chose to write this extension in Python, which was probably not the easiest choice since Python support in OOo is not very well-documented yet. You are welcome to study my code a an example of a simple Python extension.
