OpenCards is a flashcard learning extension for OpenOffice Impress. The basic idea of OpenCards is to use slide-titles as flashcard fronts and the slide contents as their backs. Based on state-of-the-art memorization and scheduling algorithms OpenCards will help you to learn any set of flashcards.

I've been using this extension for impress for a while now for my kanji compound memorisation practice and it has helped me significantly. Although it will initially take a while to create all your cards, it is worth it in terms of how much it will help you.
The only downside is that I'm getting about 300+ cards to review each day with the long term option, however, that only means I'll remember more in the long run (Which isn't entirely a bad thing at all! :) ).
I fully recommend this to anyone who is currently using a pen & paper method for flashcards.

I am REALLY confused by this extension. The instructions just seem to be hard to find and even more baffling once found.
In truth I don't even know if this program is what I want because the instructions don't actually tell me what it does (or is capable of)
I get the impression from a review I read somewhere that it does but after trying to work it out I am now not so sure it does.

Can someone please tell me if what I want to (explained below) is able to be done with this program? I don't want to waste any more time on trying to work it out myself.

What I am after is a program where I can make PRINTED flash cards. (I am not interested in using the computer as the card.)
I want to have a word on the front of the card and the meaning on the back.
I want to be able to print them on A4 size card stock with maybe 6 or 8 cards on each A4 page, and then cut the cards out so that the word is on the front and the correct meaning ends up on the back.

Can someone give me step by step instructions???

Thanks
