If you install the extenstion using Tools -> Extension Manager .. it won't work from first time. :) There is a hack you have to do first, in order to install it:

  • extract the oxt file(like any other archive file)
  • in the resulted "lib" folder create a new file called "jars.properties" and paste this text inside: external.jars=lib/commons-codec-1.4.jar lib/commons-httpclient-3.1.jar lib/commons-logging-1.1.1.jar
  • launch OpenOffice and install the Extension from Tools -> Extension Manager-> Add....
  • Restart OpenOffice
  • DONE

After downloading and installing as per instructions the extension was ready and it is functioning very well, except one flaw that we cannot directly store/upload the file (It has to be saved on local disc then through extension can be uploaded and secondly menu for the above extension appears in menu bar of text document, rest of the documents like powerpoint and spreadsheet and drawing it does not appear hence we have to have first store/save powerpoint, spreadsheet or drawing to local disc and then go to word/text document then from there we could able to upload file directly, except this otherwise extension works finely. If modified accordingly it is very useful or otherwise we could take other route i.e. through browser which is one and same.
Thank you.
