Release Notes:

Fixed the bug that made Graecise convert whole paragraphs.

The new version of Graecise comes with a few changes.
Graecise is now closer to Beta Code:

  • The circumflex now is on "="
  • Iota subscriptum is on "|"
  • As the macro is open source you're free to change it to fit your needs.

More new bits:

  • ? will be converted to ;
  • : will be converted to ·
  • will now be converted to « and »

Please rate the extension if you like it (and if you don't; but I don't hope so) - I'm open to suggestions on how to improve the macro.

In order to properly use this macro you need a Unicode font with all necessary letters.
Examples:

Deja-Vu (free)
Linux Libertine (free)
Athena Unicode (free)
Arial Unicode (newer Windows/ MS Office versions have it)

And this is how it works:
You write a word in Latin characters, run the macro and the text will be converted to Greek.
Conversion scheme is quite straight forward - more so if you used Beta Code before.

Not so obvious letters are:
c becomes xi
q becomes theta
w becomes omega
y becomes psi
