This package of four extensions includes spellcheckers and hyphenators for several languages and a thesaurus and a grammar checker for Hungarian. All of our tools are powered by the high quality language engines created by Morphologic.

Detailed contents of this package include:

  • EuroOffice Spellchecker for English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Hungarian.
  • EuroOffice Hyphenator for English, German, Polish and Hungarian.
  • EuroOffice Thesaurus for Hungarian.
  • EuroOffice Grammar Checker for Hungarian.

While these features can already be found in OpenOffice.org (with the exception of the grammar checker), we believe that our extensions are a step ahead with the high quality language engines created by Morphologic and a few innovative features:

  • An important feature of the Hungarian thesaurus is its ability to properly recognize and manipulate words with suffixes.
  • Our grammar checker is tightly integrated into OpenOffice.org (or EuroOffice), and marks errors with green underlines and enables you to fix them by right clicking.

never got it to work

I bought this extension back in October 08 and never got it to work - neither with 2.4, 3.0 nor 3.0.1

Installtion works fine. There's no errors. The About dialogs work too.

Problems:

  • If I enable the EuroOffice SpellChecker, OpenOffice would never find any mistakes any more. (also Grammar checking doesnt work anymore)

  • The EuroOffice GrammarChecker did never find any mistakes, but that may be just weak support of German grammar.

So I disabled all the extensions to be able to do my work.
Unfortunately, my support e-mails were not answered. I hope some of the dev's reads this and gets in touch with me, by answering to this post.

Hi! Sorry to hear that! We never received your support emails, are you sure you sent them to support@multiracio.com? I will get in touch with you in email now at the email address you used to register on this web site. Hopefully I will be able to help, but the remedy depends on the operating system. Note that EuroOffice Grammar Checker needs Java support, so if you are using Ubuntu for example, you would have to install openoffice.org-java-common in addition to a JRE.
