Being shipped now with OpenOffice.org - Germanophone Project, this extension is the new standard dictionary. It will add German dictionaries containing spell checking and hyphenation patterns as well as a large thesaurus. The "frami" dictionary includes the complete word list of Björn Jacke's "igerman98" and additional numerous supplements by Franz Michael Baumann according to the reform of 2006. This package is localized for Germany. Even other German localizations are available (Austria or Switzerland). For more details of the dictionary version click the tag "View all releases".     Diese Erweiterung, mit der nun OpenOffice.org - Deutsprachiges Projekt ausgeliefert wird, ist das neue Standardwörterbuch. Die Erweiterung integriert deutsche Wörterbücher für die Rechtschreibkontrolle und Silbentrennung sowie einen umfangreichen Thesaurus. Das "frami"-Wörterbuch enthält den gesamten Wortbestand von Björn Jackes "igerman98" und zusätzlich zahlreiche Ergänzungen durch Franz Michael Baumann entsprechend der Rechtschreibreform von 2006. Dieses Paket ist lokalisiert für Deutschland. Es gibt aber auch Lokalisierungen für Österreich oder die Schweiz. de-DE-frami and/or dict-de?

Dear all,

is this extensions a complete replacement or an addition for the extension "German dictionary, hyphenation patterns and thesaurus" (http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/project/dict-de).

Which extension is preferrable? Where are the advantages or disadvantages? Which one is more recent? Which one more complete?

dict-de: spell checker "igerman98" by Björn Jacke (Version 2007-12-11?),
including hyphenation (Huggenberger / Naber) and thesaurus
(OpenThesaurus, Version ?) - locales: de-DE + AU + CH!

dict-de-DE_frami: spell checker by Franz Michael Baumann (Version:
2008-09-15), including hyphenation (Huggenberger / Naber) and thesaurus
(OpenThesaurus, Version: 2008-10-03) - locales only: de-DE!
"frami" contains the complete word list of Björn Jacke's dictionary
*and* additional numerous supplements by Franz Michael Baumann according
to the reform of 2006. At moment this is the newest and most complete
German spell checker. If yo don't need AU and CH localisation this
extension is a complete replacement for dict-de.
