Dmaths is adressed to people who regularly use the formula editor of OpenOffice.org, StarOffice (maths students, teachers...) and NeoOffice.

It is free (under GPL licence) and available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. It runs in english, french or german.

It is supplied with installation file in english, french and german. The user guide in english user_guide_en.odt, although from Dmaths version 3.2 and showing the former symbol design, is still useable as a start to working with Dmaths.

We need help for translation from german or french to english.

Wrong file format

The file format should have been .oxt. Now, it is a zip archive with:

  • DmathsAddon.oxt
  • install.odt
  • Lisez-moi.odt
  • mathematiques.pdf
  • memo_OOo_dmaths_1.5.odt
  • mini_memo_dmaths_1.5.odt
  • r_typo.pdf
  • U2200.pdf

And installing DmathsAddon.oxt doesn't help! Is this malware? Why can't it run in a common way, through .oxt extension? Why macros in install.odt? I have never used macros since they have been malicious two times ...

Sadly that installation is problematic. The described functions sound really promising and are right what I need in O O Writer.

It crashes, I don't know why

On my Mac OS X 10.5.6 it crashes constantly. I tried it with both OOo and NeoOffice.
