This is the second beta release of OOoLatex as an extension.
The extension includes the binary for latex2emf (macosx/i386&ppc, linux/i386&ppc, windows/MSys)!

System requirement :

• LaTeX
• Ghostscript
• MSys (for windows users)

To use the emf image format you have to install some Bakoma fonts and for the module Expand, also the STIXGeneral fonts. These fonts can be downloaded form the SourceForge download section.

Before the installation of the extension, remove the old OOoLatex libraries (button 'delete' form the Marco Organizer, tab Libraries).
You can easily install the extension from the Extension Manager, accessible from the menu Tools.

Then, if you open a new document, the OOoLatex tool bar should be available. There, you can access the two modules, Equation and Expand, as well as the configuration window where you have to set the location of the external programs (latex and ghostrcipt) and where optionally you can define shortcuts.

• Shortcuts bug fix:
  1/ now when removing a shortcut without previous command defined, the shortcut is correctly unset.
  2/ if we set a OOoLatex shortcut previously defined outside of OOoLatex, the previous command is set to spaces.
• Add the transparent check box in the main Equation window.
• When one of the controls (transparent, cropping or dpi) on the main Equation window is changed, the value is saved for the current session. There is no more need to press the button Latex !
• Now, with the png image format, the transparent option select the sDIVICE used by gs to generate the image: pngalpha/png16m
• Check that a "SvxShapeText" is selected in Expand.
• Simple quote bug fix in Expand.
• The Expand initialization starts now automatically.

Update: The mac users on intel machine can now use the emf format directly from the extension. The new version 4.0.0-beta-1b is available from the Extension manager, button update.
Update2: New beta version available for download ! The update from the extension manager should work...
