Did you ever wonder where all the bookmarks are in your Writer document? Did you open the Navigator and start clicking on each bookmark, in order to find it? Did you edit your document, and notice that some bookmarks suddenly went missing?

This extension will insert a note (yes, the new, pretty notes of OOo 3!) for each bookmark, showing its position and name, and the text at which it is anchored, when relevant.

The new version 1.2.x is for OOo 3.1. It includes a third button, which toggles visibility of notes' anchors when View – Notes is disabled. Previous versions: please click on "View all releases".

Bookmarks not visible!

This extension doesn't seem to work for me. My bookmarks are still invisible. My extension manager says I have it installed. It's the same both on my desktop and my laptop. What am I doing wrong?

Do you see the new buttons?

After installing the extension, please close OpenOffice completely, also the Quickstarter if you use it, and restart OOo. After restarting, when you open a Writer document, you should see a new toolbar with 2 buttons. When you click on the first button ("Visible bookmarks"), an OOo note will be inserted at the anchor of each existing bookmark, showing thus where each bookmark is located. With the second button, you may remove these notes again.
Please make sure that (menu) View - Notes is marked, or else you won't see any note.
