ISA P&ID Symbols

ISA P&ID

Primarily follows ISA standards for graphic symbols for process displays to create piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). Contains some extra positive displacement devices that are nice to have, but not specified by ISA. Glue points are located at connection points for use in P&IDs.
Download and unzip the file to your gallery folder. Close Draw (if windows exit the OO manager in the system tray). When reopened the gallery will be updated with the new files.

Request for improvements

Hello,

Your extension seems interesting. From my point of view, you may improve it in several manners :

  • Add clipart in your keywords, so your extension will appear if you select this tag
  • Transform your zip file in a real extension : just take example from other clipart extension
  • Using thickness of lines is not a good idea: when you resize your drawing lines may become enormous or invisible. Convert them in contour
  • Lines of 0 width will be very thin in huge size
  • Some drawings may be improved: for instance heat exchanger should be drawn with polygon tool instead of several lines; in positive displacement pump, the three lines do not cross on the same point: draw one line (for instance horizontal), then duplicate (Shift+F3) 2 copies with an angle of 60°
