miniInvoices is a lightweight invoicing application tailored to professional writers. It includes a few nifty features such as the ability to manage multiple currencies and generate reports. The miniInvoices solution consists of a OpenOffice.org Base database and the miniInvoices extension. The latter can be used to access miniInvoices' features via a dedicated menu in the OpenOffice.org's main toolbar.

an extension using base - and showing its weakness

My respect, a lot of work
as I was looking for any contribtion to ooo using BASE, I will not judge whether this is a reliable concept to deal with "selling words". Some doubts, however, it may be usefull for that purpose.
But it is a good example for what can be done - or better, what not can be done - with base.
So even the application can get no high value, I really want as many people as possible to install it,
to see base and the missing features in work.
