The cross platform OpenOffice.org extension OOo FBTools used to convert to and processing eBooks in FictionBook2 format.

Russian: Кроссплатформенный инструментарий OOo FBTools предназначен для конвертации документов из форматов, поддерживаемых OpenOffice.org Writer в формат FictionBook2.

Таким образом входные форматы документов для FBTools следующие: .doc, .dot, .rtf, .txt, .html, .htm, .oth, .odt, .ott, .stw, .sdw, .xml, .vor, .psw, .wps, .wpd, .fodt, .sxw, Microsoft Word 2003XML .xml, и другие, с которыми работает OpenOffice.org Writer.

Инструментарий работает на тех платформах, где работает OpenOffice.org Writer, т.е. MS Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista, MacOS X, GNU/Linux, FreeBSD и другие.

OOo FBTools не использует DOM технологию – задействован свой парсинг документов и печать в текстовый файл информации, собранной после анализа.

Если документ отформатирован стилями правильно, то после его конвертации практически не требуется дальнейшая правка (за редким исключением) в редакторах fb2 формата! После проведения десятков тестов с документами различной структурой, полученные fb2 книги у меня всегда проходили валидацию.

Antivirus Kaspersky and Avira is detected stably Exploit.Win32.IMG-WMF.cbq file OOoFBTools.oxt/win32/base64.exe. Description of the virus here: http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/pfv-exploit.shtml. What does this mean?

Yes, update my virus scanner!

Yes, Avira today updated - no detect. Panda, Avast, F-Prot, DrWeb, ClamAV - no detect too. Only Kaspersky-online positive detect. Probably a false positive.
