Writer2LaTeX provides Writer export filters for LaTeX and BibTeX.
This enables you to typeset your Writer documents with LaTeX, which does a better job typesetting text, in particular text with formulas.
Writer2LaTeX gives you extensive control over the export of formatting (using a configuration file). It can convert your document with as much formatting as possible preserved, or you can completely control the LaTeX code generated for each style in the source document – or even remove all formatting.

Version 0.4 of this extension is already included in some versions of OpenOffice.org (2.0.4-3.0). Install this version if you want to upgrade to the latest release.

New: The current development release available from http://writer2latex.sourceforge.net now also includes an extension (Writer4LaTeX) that integrates OpenOffice.org with your TeX installation. You can thus call LaTeX and display the result directly from Writer.

Currently, the extension is available in Brazilian Portuguese, English, Czech, Danish, Dutch, German, Finnish, French, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian.
